A dog who waited a year for his owner to return home has been rescued and his transformation documented in a video going viral.

Eldad Hagar, the founder of Hope for Paws, shows the heart-wrenching story of Woody.

When Woody’s owner died, the family sold the house and left him outside, according to the Huffington Post.

The dog waited under a nearby shed hoping his owner would come home.

Hope for Paws rescued Woody, cleaned him up and now he just needs a loving home.
