Brooklyn, New York City – Police are trying to figure out who replaced two American flags on top of the Brooklyn bridge with white flags Tuesday morning.
By 11:30am both flags had been removed from the bridge’s iconic towers, according to WPIX.

The dual U.S. flags are a common sight in the New York skyline, while white flags are typically raised to signify a surrender.
