Chesapeake, Va. – Taylor Road will be closed between Peppercorn Drive and Dunedin Drive until about 11:30am after a driver struck a power pole.
The 24-year-old driver told police he lost control of his vehicle around 3am, striking the pole in the 4300 block in Taylor Road.
The pole snapped and brought down power lines.
The driver was transported to Maryview Hospital for minor injuries. Police say there is no indication that speed or alcohol were factors in this accident.
