Walmart hiring up to 95 jobs for new Virginia Beach Neighborhood Market

Virginia Beach, Va. – Walmart will hire up to 95 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this fall in Virginia Beach.

A temporary hiring center has opened at 1421 Kempsville Road in Chesapeake.

Applications will be accepted at the center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants may also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

According to store manager John Ayers the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates. “I am excited to bring this new Walmart Neighborhood Market to Virginia Beach,” said Ayers. “I look forward to meeting applicants and providing good jobs with career opportunities to area residents.”

The company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. Veterans must be within 12 months of active duty and meet Walmart’s standard hiring criteria. Interested veterans may find out more at http://walmartcareerswithamission.com.

The majority of new hires will begin work in September to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
