Two wanted for robbing Newport News motel

Newport News, Va. – Police need your help to catch a pair of robbers who hit a Newport News motel on Thursday morning.

Police say this happened on August 28th, 2014 at around 12:12 a.m. They say two suspects went into the Comfort Inn and Suites on 1096 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. and robbed it at gunpoint.

When they went into the motel, they asked one of the female employees a question. Once she responded, one of the suspects took out a gun and jumped over the counter and the other followed.  The suspect with the gun demanded money from the register. After getting the money, both suspects ran away from the motel.

Police say both suspects were men in their twenties. One had a medium build, stood about 5’6″ and was wearing a red colored hoodie which was drawn close to his face.  Police released very limited information about the second suspect.
