Chesapeake, Va.- At around 12:00 p.m., Officers went to the scene of a traffic accident in the 3500 block of Old Mill Rd.

When Police arrived, they found a white man conscious and responsive in his car.

The car had swerved off the road and hit a tree. Before swerving, the vehicle side-swiped another vehicle.

The driver of that vehicle was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Old Mill Rd. is currently closed between Raytee and Pioneer. People are asked to avoid this area until the road is re-opened.

Investigators are on the scene and it is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in the accident.
