UPDATE: 'Spice' was found Tuesday morning tangled up with a tree near the water. Her handler says she is doing well, eating and drinking water. She's now headed to the vet for a full check-up.

Williamsburg, Va. - A search is on for a missing four-year-old search and rescue bloodhound with a medical condition.

'Spice' has been gone for over 24 hours since her handler lost control of her leash near Reserve Way in Williamsburg on Sunday.

Spice was on her final training run before becoming a state-certified sniffer.

Spice has a heart condition that requires daily medication and is made worse by the heat. Search and rescue experts are combing a 2,300 acre area in hopes of finding her.
