Newport News, Va. – Two men have been charged after a woman told police both men raped her after she was forced to drink alcohol.

This happened on Friday, September 12th. Police say they received a call about an intoxicated woman in the Oyster Point area.

When officers found her, she was lying on the ground and appeared unresponsive.

Medics woke her up and the 23-year-old woman told police she had drinks before walking her dog. While she was outside, she saw a man she knew and he invited her into his home. She says while inside, that’s when she was forced to drink and was then raped by the two men.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The two men identified as Darrell M. Cowles and Michael McGill Cowles were both charged with rape and abduction and sodomy. They are now in the Newport News City Jail.
