Roanoke Island, N.C. – A 23-year-old man was arrested in Roanoke Island on September 6th on several drug charges.
Deputies say Fredrick Deprise Johnson tossed counterfeit drugs out of a vehicle window during a traffic stop.
Authorities there had information about someone who was on the way to Dare County to sell cocaine and they were in place to stop the vehicle.
When they tried to stop Johnson’s vehicle, that’s when the bag was thrown out of the window they say.
Johnson was charged with possession with the intent to sell/deliver counterfeit controlled substance, create a counterfeit controlled substance, possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, and possession of cocaine.
He was released on $25,000 bond.
