Suffolk, Va. – A contractor will close the crossover of Route 17/Bridge Road and Windward Lane on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to repair a leak located on the City of Suffolk’s 16-inch water transmission main.
All traffic exiting Windward Lane will be required to make a right turn onto Route 17 headed south. The southbound left turn lane at the Windward Lane crossover will be closed, but both southbound thru lanes will remain open.
Northbound traffic on Route 17 will be reduced to one thru lane at the work area. The northbound left turn lane to Windward Lane will remain open. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
