TOWN OF MENASHA – A thunderstorm didn’t stop two police officers from freeing a fawn that was stuck in a soccer net – and a police dashboard camera caught the whole thing on video.
According to a report from Fox6Now.com, officers John Swenson and Mike Weinberger came upon the deer while on patrol Saturday night, September 20. Police say the animal was tangled in a soccer net at a youth sports park near an elementary school.
It took about three minutes for the officers to cut the deer out of the net, Fox 6 Now reports. After it ran off, the officers told dispatch, “Bambi went home!”
