Los Angeles, Ca. – Motion simulated seats, scent dispensers, bursts of air, and fog machines make one California theater stand out. 4DX has turned a trip to the movie theaters into an interactive experience.
TheRegal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadiumin Downtown Los Angeles launched 4DX this past summer. Since then, business has been booming for the theater.
4DX is the latest innovation in movie theater technology. This specialty screening system allows movie-goers to be completely connected to their flicks.
Every 4DX theater is fully equipped with operated seating, and environmental effects. The chairs have the capability to move vertically, sideways, and back and forth.
The environmental effects further immerse viewers in the movies. These effects include: wind, bubbles, strobe lights, fog, face water, scents, vibration, and short bursts of sharp air. 4DX breaks all of the boundaries with its state of the art technology.
4DX is established in 114 theaters internationally. Locations range from Japan to the United States.
How much does it cost to experience 4DX? Tickets are pricey, but not enough to break the bank. A family of four can get the 4DX experience for as much as $100. Tickets cost about $25 per person.
Is it worth it? Apparently so; Regal Cinemas screened Transformers: Age of Extinction for only two weeks and earned $105,000. That’s twice as much as regular movie theaters made in revenue during the same time span.
Regal Cinemas is currently offering The Equalizer in 4DX. Movie goers can purchase their tickets throughFandango.
