Police investigate after rash of car burglaries occur at middle schools in several cities

Courtland, Va. – Officials are now investigating after they say someone has been breaking into vehicles and swiping purses at elementary schools.

Southampton County deputies say there have been several car burglaries that started October 2nd. They say they received two reports on October 2 and 3rd and the car windows were broken out and purses were taken.

They say all of the burglaries happened at elementary schools.

This has also happened in Suffolk, Franklin, and Sussex County.

Deputies say victims’ credit cards were used at Walmart and New Dixie Mart in Franklin.
