A couple who created a bucket list for their unborn child who was expected to have a short life gave birth to their son early Thursday morning. Baby Shane lived for a few hours before passing away.
Jenna and Dan Haley created the bucket list after learning Shane had anencephaly, a rare, complex brain condition. Babies with the condition have a life expectancy ranging from hours to days.
The Haleys wanted Shane to experience as much as he could while still in the womb, so they took him on adventures, bringing their unborn child to some of their favorite childhood places before he was born.
The adventures and photos are all posted on the Prayers for Shane Facebook page. It has more than 700,000 followers.
