Virginia Beach, Va. – Police responding to reports of a gunshot wound at Indian Lakes Apartments in Virginia Beach discovered a man who had been assaulted by two people who entered his home.
The man was assaulted around 2:10am Friday morning in the 1700 block of Hiawatha Drive, according to police.
He was transported to a hospital, where it was discovered he had not been shot – but had been struck in the head by an unknown object. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Detectives have determined that two unknown black men entered the home and assaulted the victim.
No items were taken in the attack and the case remains under investigation.
