Norfolk, Va.— A firefighter collapsed at the scene of an apartment fire on Sunday night. He was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be okay.
He was on the scene of a fire at the vacant apartment building at West 27th Street and Newport Avenue. No injuries were reported in the home.
Firefighters responded at around 10 p.m. Sunday night to heavy flames. No word on a cause.
