(CNN) MOLINE, Ill — It’s that time of year when, if you’re not carving a pumpkin, you’re likely drinking one.
Pumpkin spice everything is all over menus and store shelves right now. One Quad City woman is making it a year-round tradition.
Sherry Lynn Gustafson is getting her fix by loading up on pumpkin spice lattes.
“I love pumpkin pie, and this is like pumpkin pie with whipped cream on it in a drink. So, I can drink as much I want, less calories too,” said Gustafson.
It’s an obsession she’s had for at least ten years.
“I got hooked, and then I used to go get them at the gas station, then I used to start making my own,” said Gustafson.
Her love of the seasonal drink, however, goes beyond most.
“I get worse as we go. I start hoarding now, so I might have to rethink how many we have to get,” said Gustafson.
Gustafson decided to stock up so she can drink pumpkin spice all year long. She bought 52 boxes.
“I don’t want them to think I’m a nut, so I get a little bit at a time,” said Gustafson.
When the rest of the world has moved on to eggnog and peppermint, Gustafson will be relaxing in her living room with the only spice she’ll ever need, all year ’round.
“Whenever I need a fix, I’ll get it,” said Gustafson.
Gustafson plans to buy at least 30 more boxes.
