York County. Va. – The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office took action Saturday to help collect food for an area food pantry.
Deputies volunteered their time, standing outside the Farm Fresh on Route 17 to collect donations.
During the “Fill-a-Cruiser” event, they were able to fill a car and two trucks, which was more than 247 bags of food. They also received almost $400 in cash.
All of the food and money was donated to The York County Food Closet at St. Luke’s Church.
