Virginia Beach high school student attacked while walking to school bus stop

Posted

"I could see the blood on his hand. I didn`t know what to think. I asked him did somebody shoot you? He said 'no, somebody stabbed me and tried to rob me.'"

That's what a Renaissance High School student described to Lavette Jackson this morning while he was lying on her front porch.

Police say the 17-year-old was attacked while walking to the school bus.  Minutes later, Jackson says he crawled to her home.

She said the teen banged on her door. When she started talking to him, she saw the blood and called 911.

"It just looked like a little puncture wound. It didn`t look real bad, but his pants were cut and his shirt was torn."

A man came up to the teen as he was walking to his bus stop, according to police. The man tried robbing him, then attacked him.

"He said the man came up from behind, twisted and bent his arm. That`s when the fight occurred. He tried to get away from the guy," Jackson told NewsChannel 3.

Police are calling the attack a "possible stabbing," but Jackson says there's no question.

"He had a stab wound in his leg.

The attacker is still on the loose, and right now police don't have a good description of him.
