The Washington Redskins plan to bench Robert Griffin III for the second time in two seasons.

Colt McCoy is expected to start this Sunday in Indianapolis against the Colts.

Skins Headcoach Jay Gruden says this he hopes this move helps RGIII in the long term.

"I'm hoping it helps him. It helps toughing him up. Helps put a fire in his belly. I hope he comes out here and prepares. He's got to, he has to. He is the back-up quarterback. He's not happy about the change nor should he be, and I don't want him to be happy about it. I want him to come out here and work harder and be ready when it is his time again.”
