Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded earlier this morning to a house fire in the 1500 block of Dutch Road in the rural Holland area of Suffolk.
Emergency Communications received the call at 7:30 a.m. and the first units were on scene at 7:40 a.m., officials tell NewsChannel 3. Units arrived to find a single story modular residential structure with heavy flames and smoke showing from the premises.
The home was not occupied and was under renovation.
The fire was called under control at 9:00 a.m. There were no injuries, NewsChannel 3 has learned.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
