It's that time of year when a mischievous little visitor appears in homes where children live—Elf on a Shelf!
It’s the elf that keeps an eye on the kids appearing in places around the house.
Then the elf reports back to Santa.
Sometimes he appears in somewhat creative places.
There's a girl elf out too.
She has blue eyes and wears a skirt, and just like with the boy elf you can buy extra outfits for her.
Now the elf does birthdays too. You can place him around the house around the time of your child's big day!
He comes with a book and a cupcake costume. If you're Jewish, there's a new elf on the market.
He’s called "Mensch on a Bench."
A Jewish parent created it after his kids begged him for an "elf on a shelf."
Instead of watching kids to see if they've been naughty or nice, he comes with a book that explains the story of Hanukkah which begins Tuesday.
