Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk Police are currently investigating a robbery at the Chartway Federal Credit Union located at 4702 Hampton Boulevard, near Old Dominion University.
Just before 11:30 a.m. police responded to the scene about a hold-up alarm. They confirmed that someone robbed the business.
The suspect ran from the scene just before officers arrived. No one was injured.
Police have released surveillance images of the possible suspect.
The suspect as described as as a black man with a medium complexion, approximately 30-35 years of age, 6’0″ in height and weighing 180-200 pounds. Police say he was wearing a black knit cap, black hooded sweatshirt, and covered his face with a black and white scarf. He was last seen running from the bank northbound on Hampton Boulevard.
