Keurig Green Mountain, Inc is recalling MINI Plus Brewing System units due to a potential burn hazard.
The company says water can overheat during brewing, spray out and burn consumers. The company says this is more likely to occur when the brewer is making more than two cups in quick succession.
There have been about 200 reports of the hot water escaping from the brewer, including 90 reports of burn-related injuries.
The recall affects MINI Plus units with model number K10, produced prior to July 2014. Recalled brewers have an identification number starting with “31” followed by a range of numbers printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the brewer.
