Norfolk, Va. - A federal judge ruled a Navy pilot accused of producing child porn can keep his attorney.

Daniel Harris faces 32 charges and will go to trial next month. Prosecutors tried to get his lawyer dropped from the case. Harris was a Navy pilot based at Oceana in Virginia Beach.

The prosecutors wanted to call the attorney as a witness, and felt it would be legally unfair for the lawyer to be both an attorney and a witness in the same case. A judge ruled against the feds in a hearing Friday afternoon, saying  his paralegal can be called to offer the same information.
