Norfolk, Va. - A 39-year-old man was arrested in Norfolk early Thursday morning after driving into a house and then attempting to flee from police.
Norfolk Police say they were called to the 2700 block of Tidewater Drive around 12:30 a.m. after it had been reported that a car drove into a house.
The driver, 39-year-old Marcus D. Timmson, was quickly apprehended. He has been charged with Felony Hit and Run, DUI 2nd Offense, Driving on a Revoked License (DUI Related), and Refusal to submit a Breath/Blood sample.
The investigation reveals that Timmson was driving northbound on Tidewater Drive when he lost control, left the roadway, struck a parked Jeep and drove into the house.
When the car drove into the house, it hit a 23-year-old man who was inside watching television. He received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
