Chesterfield, Va. – A Chesterfield school bus driver is accused of lying about her child having terminal cancer. Her goal was to get money from her co-workers.
Police say they think 26-year-old Katie Patterson was able to collect more than two-thousand dollars in donations over the course of four months.
Police say when they confronted her about the money after her arrest, she said it was used to pay bills and buy christmas presents.
