Newport News, Va. – Police are investigating after a man was found shot in Newport News.
At approximately 10:34 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015, police communications received a call reporting a male shooting victim lying on the ground in the 1100 block of 37th Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a 21-year-old Newport New man with a gunshot to his leg.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non life-threatening injury, according to police.
