Suffolk, Va. – Right now, crews are on the scene of a suspected fuel spill.
This happened in the Nansemond Gardens neighborhood off Wilroy Road.
Emergency crews were notified about the incident at 5:13 p.m. when someone notified them about a gas smell in the area near the Public Utilities Pump Station.
Staff from Public Utilities and a contractor for Public Utilities have responded.
Crews have closed a portion of Williams Road as they monitor the area.
No residents have been affected. They say the spill is confined to storm drains and residents in the area have been notified.
No other details have been released.
