Newport News, Va. – A man was shot in the leg outside of a Newport News Food Lion Sunday afternoon.
Police say it happened around 2 p.m. The 40-year-old victim is suffering non-life threatening injuries at the hospital.
After an interview with the police, he says he was exchanging words with another man when he shot him.
The case is still under investigation.
