Norfolk, Va. – A school bus crash was reported Monday morning in Norfolk, according to Norfolk police.
The call came in at 8:56 a.m. Police responded to 8595 Tidewater Drive in Norfolk. That’s near E. Bayview Blvd.
A black sedan rear-ended a school bus heading to Willoughby Elementary School, according to Elizabeth Mather of Norfolk Public Schools and the Norfolk Police Department. There were six students on the bus at the time; no injuries have been reported, Mather says.
The school bus was stopped at the time of the accident, police say.
The driver of the sedan was issued a summons for “Following Too Closely”.
