Newport News, Va. – The Mariner’s Museum Library in Newport News, located at the Trible Library, has created a new exhibit, “The Golden Age of Luxury Liners.”

The new exhibit features luxury cruise ships from 1920 to 1950. It also includes items that would be found on these cruise ships such as dinner menus, postcards, flyers, silverware and glassware.

Most items have been donated by the wife of the late Herbert M. Beazley who has over 20,000 items that are around 100 years old.

All the items in the exhibit come from several different cruise ships and focus on different aspects of luxury cruising.

People may expect to see some items from the infamous cruise ship, Titanic, but all items are from lesser known cruise ships who are just as alluring.

The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
