Virginia Wesleyan fraternity suspended amid hazing accusations

Virginia Beach, Va. - A fraternity at Virginia Wesleyan College was suspended indefinitely Thursday after an investigation.

Despite the hazing accusations rumored to be surrounding the decision to suspend Kappa Alpha Order, the fraternity's National Administrative Office only says the Epsilon Omicron Chapter at VWC has been suspended due to a violation of fraternity policies.

According to the Marlin Chronicle, the current members of the fraternity have all been placed in alumnae status. This will allow members to participate in Kappa Alpha related events, but only as alumni.

The fraternity will be unable to charter another chapter at VWC until all current members have graduated, which means another chapter couldn't be established until 2018.
