High winds fueled a condo fire in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. - Last nights winds worsened a condo fire in Virginia Beach early Sunday morning.

Fire crews responded to the 730 block of Harbor Springs Trail around 2:30 a.m.

According to investigators, the cause of the fire was accidental, sparking in the chimney chase then spreading to the attic. The high wind have been accredited for fueling the fire.

Eight units of the condo were affected by the fire, and twenty residents were displaced. American Red Cross arrived to the scene, but no one was hurt.

Fire officials estimate $750,000 in damage costs.
