Suffolk, Va. - A Suffolk neighborhood is on high alert after a neighbor reported seeing a man peer through her window while she was undressing.
According to Suffolk police, the woman saw the peeping tom on Feb. 3, and Feb. 7 in the Mineral Spring road neighborhood.
However, she did not report the incidents until Feb. 13. Police say they provided the woman instructions on how to file a criminal complaint, but neighbors don't think paperwork is enough to keep their families safe.
"I have kids, I have a family and my main concern is making sure that my family is gonna stay safe and that my kids are going to be safe," explained a neighbor who didn't want to be identified.
Friday, Feb. 20 was the first time neighbors heard about a peeping tom on the loose and the lack of communication from police has some residents concerned.
"The police aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing to notify us and let us know what is going on in the community."
Until the man is arrested, neighbors are say they will be keeping a closer eye on their neighborhood.
