Hampton, Va.— The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association is all geared up and ready for this week’s highly anticipated season-end basketball tournament.
Starting Tuesday in Charlotte, NC, what is glorified as the largest HBCU athletic tournament, starts with local Elizabeth City State University taking on the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University at 10:00am at the Charlotte Convention Center.
The CIAA, founded in 1912, is the oldest African-American athletic conference in the nation—home to local schools Virginia State, Elizabeth City State and Virginia Union.
