Caught on video: Natural gas blast destroys New Jersey home

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Fifteen people were injured when a house exploded on Tuesday.

The explosion was captured on a police cruiser’s dash camera.

According to the mayor of Stafford Township, N.J., residents complained of a gas odor and workers from the gas company arrived to investigate.

At some point during the investigation, the house exploded.

Six firefighters, two emergency workers and seven gas company workers were hurt.

Authorities say the explosion leveled at least one home. Several more were damaged.

Residents from 75 homes were evacuated as a safety precaution.
