Portsmouth, Va – The City of Portsmouth announced that all lanes of High Street at Confederate Avenue and Constitution Avenue will be closed on Monday, March 2nd. The closure will be from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Those lanes will be closed for four hours in order for Waterfront Marine to move a crane across High Street.
The crane is needed for the Martin Luther King Freeway Extension Project.
Portsmouth Police Department will be directing traffic from Confederate Avenue and High Street to detour onto Turnpike Road. They will also direct traffic from Constitution Avenue and High Street to detour on London Boulevard.
