On February 28th, a Suffolk Police officer stopped a 1996 Honda Accord with defective equipment and an excessive number of passengers in the backseat.

The driver, Chanita Nikiya Britt of Portsmouth, had a suspended driver’s license.

Six children, ages 6 through 13, were unrestrained in the backseat. Four of the children were Britt’s and two were other family members.
