Newport News, Va. - A few teens won't be allowed to skate at the Peninsula Skating Rink again after police had to break up several fights over the weekend.

This happened on Saturday night during the rink's Blackout Skate Night.

The fights broke out at around 10:15 p.m. when about 250 to 300 people  were inside.

Police made their way through the crowd to break up the fight but by the time they got there, it was over. But after that ended, there were minors inside of the building acting disorderly officials say.

Another fight broke out inside. Officers had to call for back up because of the number of minors involved. Managers then closed the rink early.

More fights broke out outside of the building when officers were trying to break up the crowd.

No arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

This is not the first time violence has occurred at this skating rink. This was also the scene of a shooting just three months ago.  A 15-year-old girl was shot when she was leaving the rink. The incident was caught on camera. Police are still looking for the shooter.
