Man wanted for bank robbery in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – Newport News police need help solving a recent bank robbery.

On March 4 at 12:12 p.m., a man entered the Old Point National Bank located at 11751 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, displayed a hand gun, and robbed the business, police tell NewsChannel 3.

The man ordered a teller to take him behind the counter, then demanded that the tellers open their cash drawers and place the money into a bank bag. The man then ran away toward the apartment buildings to the rear of the bank, police say.
