Patrick Brennan, owner of Total Nutrition in Virginia Beach, says everyone should start by taking a multi-vitamin.
Other healthy options? Patrick says to consume fish oil as well as a detox system designed to meet your body's unique needs.
Patrick also has information on supplements for those who are doing physical training. Some of these include Branch Chain Amino Acids; L-Glutamine; Whey Protein Powder; and Cyclic Dextrin Powder. These are used for basic resistance training. They help to rebuild cells and muscle tissue more efficiently.
Also -- he advises to drink at least 100 ounces of water per day if you are at least 125 pounds.
Patrick says if you drink coffee, eat and drink beforehand. He also advises eating protein and healthy fats for breakfast, as opposed to carbohydrates.
