Newport News, Va. – A woman was stabbed in Newport News Sunday afternoon.
According to officials, they received a report of a stabbing in the area of Brooke and Jefferson Avenue at 4:41 p.m.
When police arrived to the scene, they found a 41-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound.
She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers located the offender involved in the stabbing who was identified as 45 year old Michael Andre Warren of Newport News.
Warren was taken into custody and charged with Malicious Wounding, Pandering, and Possession of a Schedule I or II Drug.
The victim and offender are both known to each other.
