Portsmouth, Va. – A man is dead after a shooting in Portsmouth Saturday afternoon. He has been identified as 40-year-old Tonieo E. Burden.
Officials responded to reports of a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound on the 800 block of Commerce Street at 3:43 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found Burden who had been shot in the upper torso.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
