17-year-old arrested in Hampton bank robbery

Hampton, Va. - A 17-year-old has been arrested in Tuesday's robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Hampton.

The teen allegedly entered the bank in the 2400 Block of Kecoughtan Road around 10:20am, and demanded money at gunpoint.

He then ran towards Kecoughtan Road and Pocahontas Place. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

The teen was arrested and charged with one count of bank robbery, one count of burglary while armed, one count of possession of a firearm by a juvenile and one count of using a firearm in commission of a felony.

The juvenile remains in custody at secure detention.
