Hampton, Va. – A pellet gun found at Lindsay Middle School prompted a lockdown on Tuesday, according to Hampton Police.
Around noon, police said the school was on lockdown while officers investigate a possible weapon on school grounds.
A student had reported seeing another student in possession of a possible weapon, police say.
After a brief search by Hampton Police officers, a pellet gun was located in a student locker at 1:05 p.m. The lockdown was lifted and classes resumed as normal.
Based on the investigation and the circumstances surrounding the incident, a 15-year-old female has been charged with Disorderly Conduct. There were no injuries during this incident.
