Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to a grass fire Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Public Service Authority Regional Landfill located on Bob Foeller Drive in Suffolk, Virginia, police tell NewsChannel 3.
Emergency Dispatch received a call about the incident at 12:43 p.m.
The fire was marked under control at 1:37 p.m. and involved approximately five acres at the site. There were no injuries as a result of the incident, officials say.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office.
