Manns Harbor woman charged with breaking into vehicle, stealing debit card

Manns Harbor, N.C. – A Manns Harbor woman has been charged with breaking into a vehicle and stealing various items, according to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 8, 2015, the Dare County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a vehicle that occurred on Shipyard Road in Manns Harbor, North Carolina, according to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.

Crews arrived on scene and found a vehicle that had been entered. A debit card and checks had been taken, officials say.

The Dare County Investigative Division followed up on the case. During the investigation, a suspect was developed. The suspect has been charged with several charges related to the incident, and was arrested on May 18, 2015.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Carolina Kay Creef of Mashoes Road in Manns Harbor. Creef was charged with Breaking and Entering of an Auto; Larceny; Forgery of Endorsement; Uttering Forged Endorsement; and Financial Card Theft.

Creef was released on a $5,000 dollar bond, officials say.
