Virginia Beach, Va. – When Virginia Beach City Public Schools reopen Tuesday they will have satisfied the required make-up time for instruction missed this winter due to inclement weather.
This means the 24-minute addition to the school day will no longer be in effect and normal dismissal times will resume.
VBCPS added those extra minutes to address instruction missed Feb. 25-27. The adjusted schedule went into effect March 16 and continued through May 22.
