Portsmouth, Va. – Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect caught on surveillance video, stealing a bottle of alcohol from an ABC store, police tell NewsChannel 3.
On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 7:31 p.m., an unknown male with a blue latex glove on his hand, took a bottle of alcohol from the counter at the ABC store, located in the 800 block of Airline Boulevard, when the clerk wasn’t looking. The male suspect then left the store without paying for the bottle of alcohol, police say.
The suspect is a black male wearing blue jeans, a dark colored t-shirt and black sneakers, according to police. Anyone with information about this case or who can identify the male suspect is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP ℠. Callers are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court. If a caller’s tip leads to an arrest, the recovery of drugs or stolen property, they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
